I say get the ring! Games will always be around as well as that uber laptop you are dying to get. Great ideas mentioned in here with some good points. Sadly, others that have posted just live in a sad, lonely world all by themselves.

Gaming is great... but she's more important, right?

I would say the ring, because the computer will be obsolete in 6 months. Then you would feel like an idiot, sitting in your appartment/house alone with a worthless crappy computer. After your girlfriend left you because she wanted commitment, and she started dating some male model or doctor or something.

On the other hand, if you get the ring, you would get married, and then after a couple of years, your wife would decide that YOU are obsolete and she would feel like an idiot. Sitting in her appartment/house with a worthless husband and no baddass gaming rig that she could have gotten if she hadn't wasted all that money on a stupid wedding dress.

So on second thought, you cant win either way.

Maybe you should just go live in a cave or something...

If things are going well, your always able to buy her a ring later.

Think... Buy the ring, give it to her. = Going out and spending more money.

Buying computer. = Saving money to buy the ring. = Going out and spending money.

Do it in the correct order. =)

Yep, I with the above poster's comment. If you have to make a choice between a gaming laptop and popping the question to your woman, you aren't ready for marriage.
